World of Warcraft Item Upgrades Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done through any upgrader for items NPC. An enchanted item might provide them with an invisibility effect, or make them invisible to anyone other than a selected person. Utility Items Utility items are any equipment that isn't part of the categories of clothing or armor and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor, no one utility item will be in conflict with the other. Most utility items come with a passive effect that players can activate by using them. Some have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button, or by activating the skill. The Flashlight is the most popular utility item. It lights up the area around it. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in all directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can instantly produce several utility items, while others are available only through Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground. Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the ones they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards.
